TRIPLE THREAT: Gaultier, Kloss and Wixson

If there was ever a collection that screamed the identity of it’s brand from every aspect of its aesthetic, it would be John Paul Gaultier’s Fall Couture 2012. An iconic representation of regal elegance and powerful strength, the collection was an awe inspiring showcase of whimsical top hats, over the top textured fur, ceremonial floor length capes, fire red lips, sheers, velvets and of course the power pair that is Wixson and Kloss.

Givenchy took it one step further this season by showcasing an exceptional collection, complete with a haute couture canine, and a colour co-ordinated one at that! Floor length sheaths of brilliance and texture contradiction at its finest, Givenchy created the ultimate secret garden.

Best part about being sick and watching re-runs of The Rachel Zoe Project? Lusting over ridiculously amazing fashion and re-discovering the amazing Bridget Bardot LOVE shoot featuring the amazing Ginta Lapina… I die literally! (pun intended).

The Magic of Chanel

And he does it again, like there was ever any doubt! Karl Lagerfeld has once again transformed the somewhat jaded fashion pack into a magical wonderland of classic, traditional history and pastel perfection of glimmering sheen. Metallic silver hosiery, and a subtle reference to the iconic aesthetic of the 1920s, the Chanel haute couture collection once again cemented the creative power that fashion has to continually reinvent itself. Oh and Lindsey in that final look… there are no words other than breath taking , awe inspiring brilliance.
