Little bit girl next door, little bit boho free spirit and a whole lot of fabulous hobo chic, Hanne Gaby Odiele is hot on my model radar. Her undone aesthetic is the epitome of off duty model style and she pulls it off with gracefully, brooding fragility.

One of the greatest appeals of having hair, (aside from the obviously, it covers your skull), is having the ability to change it! Now if your anything like my impulsive self, you’ve probably more than overused your fair share of hair dye, and by now your poor locks are most likely suffering the harsh consciences!

Enter the COLOUR.BUG, your pocket sized answer to hair dye compulsion! This cute little compact comes in pink, purple and orange and gives you the option to change your hair colour, (or more likely, just the ends), as often as you change your undies! Awesome stuff huh? Get colouring lovers. xx

The Row wows the CFDAs

The Council Of Fashion Designers Of America Awards are one of the most iconic and important nights of the year in the American fashion industry, add to this, the fact that it was the illustrious ceremony’s 50^th anniversary and the fact that my favourite twins took out the gold and I think we’ve pretty much just experienced the most influential CFDAs yet, (well by experienced I mean lived vicariously through internet reports. What I would give to actually be at these awards I’m not prepared to say out loud!)

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s high-end label, The Row, was awarded the coveted title of Womenswear Designer Of The Year, beating fellow nominees and past winners of the award, Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The Menswear Designer of the Year award went to Billy Reid, while Reed Krakoff picked up the trophy in the Accessory category.

Giving my traditional handbag a serious run for its money, my new love is the perfect combination of pony skin and fringing and comes complete with a pair of golden buckled back straps.

Sunday Love For Kate

When you've had a crazier week than usual and your imagination and creativity is completely drained, where do you turn for some inspiration? The infamous Kate Moss of course! I had every intention of writing a post dedicated to my newest purchase, (something, which is well and truly becoming a sure favourite), but honestly I just couldn't do it! The words were all there but were failing to form themselves into coherent sentences and my brain was literally refusing to help. SO as a result, this is where we ended up, some Sunday LOVE for Kate. Enjoy lovers and I promise there will be lots of goodies coming your way next week.

Texture-izing

What do you do when you’re feeling a little bit of shag, a little bit of velvet and a little bit of leather? Well you wear them all at once of course!

Winter has well and truly arrived and the recent wet weather gave me the perfect opportunity to experiment with clashing textures and contradicting looks. The result? A mixture of neutral tones, subtle blacks and opposing consistencies of depth.

Toning it down...

You know those trends that you unintentionally adopt? The ones where one day you look at yourself and think "When the hell did I decide that I suddenly liked oversized blazers? or pointed heels? or statement necklaces that threaten to take over my upper torso?" I recently had the same sort of epiphany when I glanced down to admired my recently OPI Gell manicured nails and discovered an army of single banned, completely unembellished rings declaring war on my hands. Without noticing, I've made a seamless transition replacing my fabulously chunky knuckle dusters with an array of silver and gold elegant stacks.

Fashion Promises from Promise....

One of the best greatest perks about this insane technological development we call the internet, is the ability to shop in literally any city of the world! Today we’re not travelling to the far flung corners of Europe or the bustling traffic of NYC, we’re heading down the tramline of Melbourne to the newest little store on Greville street, which is quickly becoming one of my all time faves! The Promise boutique is a unique mix of in-demand labels and favourite staple looks and between the pink door and the graffiti strewn brick wall it’s like a candy store for your eyes. Still in its early days, Promise debuted with full force, instantly making a mark on the fashion scene in Melbourne and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. An idea born from two little ladies, who I’m lucky enough to call my friends, Haylee and Sarah, Promise has a unique look, an innovative feel and literally promises to deliver. For anyone still in the dark I highly highly recommend a visit and for those of you who, like me, aren’t lucky enough to live in the uber trendy city of Melbs, you can check out all the latest arrivals and shop online on their facebook page.
